Walnut Square School PTO

Thank you for your interest in our PTO!!

Walnut Square School PTO is about men and women working together toward a common goal. That goal is creating a better school and a better educational experience for our children. We strive to create an atmosphere where teachers and administrators can do their best work—and so can our children.

Teacher Appreciation Week:

We were able to show our appreciation to teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation week (May 1-5, 2017).  Throughout the week, students brought in “apples” with notes to teachers and staff to let them know how special they are.  In addition, each day throughout the week, we gifted the teachers and staff with treats and gifts.  Monday we brought fruit skewers for the teachers and staff to enjoy.  Tuesday, everyone was treated with breakfast.  Wednesday we brought a sweet treat for everyone.  Thursday, each teacher and staff received a journal and the teachers were gifted sharpie bouquets.  Friday, the entire staff was treated to a luncheon donated by Whole Foods.  We are all so grateful for the amazing staff we have at Walnut Square and are happy we get a chance to show them our appreciation.

Mary Preble presentation:

UPDATE:  Due to a conflict in schedules, Mary Preble’s visit has been postponed to Friday, May 12th.
Artist and author, Mary Preble, will be speaking to the student on Friday, May 5th about her book Let’s Go To The Zoo.  Mary will be also showing the students how she created the artwork in the book.  Families are able to purchase a signed copy of this book if they would like by using the order form.  You can read more about the author by visiting her Facebook page, Let’s Go Children Books.
